Information we collect

When you create an account we store your email, display name, and an optional avatar URL. If you enable location-based features, we store your approximate home coordinates so we can show items available for trade nearby. We also store the items you list, the messages you exchange with trade partners, and any ratings or reports you submit.

How we use your information

We use your information solely to operate EcoTrade: matching you with nearby traders, exchanging messages, moderating abuse, and improving the service. Your exact home coordinates are never shown to other users — the map only shows a jittered, approximate location for items you have listed.

Sharing

We do not sell your data. Data is stored in our secure backend hosted on Lovable Cloud and Supabase. We may share limited information with moderators when you submit or are the subject of a report.

Your rights

You can view and edit your profile at any time. You can permanently delete your account — and everything associated with it — from your profile page. If you have questions, contact us atprivacy@ecotrade.app.

Children

EcoTrade is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, please contact us and we will remove it.
